Tube Bending & Forming
At The Metal Shop, we use advanced CNC bending and rolling equipment to form tubes with precision and repeatability. Our capabilities cover mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum tubing up to 6″ O.D., supporting both structural and complex freeform applications.
Equipment and Capability
ITEC StarBender (All-Electric)
3D freeform CNC bender with interpolation.
Capacity: 14-gauge, 2″ mild steel.
Bends in a single setup with mandrel-like rolling capabilities.
Enables complex tube geometries with reduced tooling and material waste.
Eaton Leonard CNC Bender
Handles tube diameters up to 3″.
Double-stack unit for heavier gauges and structural parts.
Arkus CNC Roll Benders (Switzerland)
Two machines for high-accuracy tube rolling.
Capacity: up to 4″ round and 6″ square tubing.
Capable of circles, coils, large arcs, ellipses, and compound radii.
Finn-Power P32 VS23 Swaging Machine
Cold swaging of aluminum, copper, and thin-wall steel.
Handles 4mm–87mm tube sizes.
Advantages
Precision & Flexibility: Automated freeform bending allows highly accurate radii and complex designs.
Integration: Laser cutting and tube bending combined in one program, cutting features prior to bending for efficiency.
Versatility: From sweeping arcs to compound geometries, we deliver repeatable results across a variety of materials.
Cost Efficiency: Reduced tooling needs, less material waste, and faster setups.
With CNC tube bending, rolling, and swaging, The Metal Shop provides comprehensive forming solutions for projects ranging from creative freeform parts to heavy-duty structural components.

The Metal Shop was started in 2002 by Duane Swift. After spending 30 years in the Navy and working for another exhibit company, the opportunity to start a small business was offered.
