SHEET METAL PROCESSING
At The Metal Shop, we offer a full range of sheet metal forming capabilities, enabling us to produce both simple bends and complex, compound-curved parts. Our equipment includes a hand brake, sheet roller, English wheel, power hammer, and shrinking/stretching machine, giving us the flexibility to form a wide variety of shapes and geometries.
Capabilities
English Wheel (Wheeling Machine) – Forms double-curvature panels from flat sheet, ideal for prototypes, low-volume production, automotive restoration, sports cars, and aircraft skin components.
Sheet Rolling & Hand Brake – Accurate forming for cylindrical and angular shapes.
Power Hammer & Shrinking/Stretcher – Efficient shaping and refinement of complex contours.
Advantages
Versatility: Suitable for steel, aluminum, and other sheet metals.
Low-Volume Efficiency: Capable of producing custom panels without expensive tooling.
Craftsmanship + Technology: Combines traditional forming techniques with modern precision equipment.
From custom panels to low-volume specialty parts, our sheet metal forming processes deliver accuracy, flexibility, and craftsmanship across a range of industries.

The Metal Shop was started in 2002 by Duane Swift. After spending 30 years in the Navy and working for another exhibit company, the opportunity to start a small business was offered.
